VILLAGERS complaining about skateboarders in Broadway ought to write to the district council in support of a skate park, says a campaigning mother.
At a parish council meeting last Thursday members discussed the nuisance being caused by youths on skateboards.
Councillors said the children were annoying villagers and causing damage to pavements and steps within the shopping precinct because they had nowhere else to go.
Chairman Peter Riley said one solution might be to try to source money from village charities to provide a regular bus from the village to skate parks in Stratford and Redditch.
Broadway mum, Amanda Peters from Orchard Avenue however, said the idea wouldn't work.
"I think it is very kind of the councillors to offer but these children need somewhere to skate every day," she added.
"I am determined to campaign for a skate park somewhere in the village and I hope villagers who are being annoyed by the children will support me."
Last month Mrs Peters, together with a delegation of young people, appealed to the parish councillors to help them find a site.
Councillor Riley said: "We understand the problem and have tried so solve it in the short term.
"We are, however, hoping that Wychavon District Council may be able to help pinpoint a site and some cash for a recreation centre on the outskirts of the village, near to where these children live."
