SILLIGROVE Fishery fought off the bad weather and provided good sport for anglers, especially Stourport's Jess Nevey.

Nevey landed a 13.2lb rainbow on a buzzer, while Shatterford's David Vaughan caught 16 fish, including one of 9lb.

Hartlebury angler Dean Evans included a fish of 5lb in his catch of 12 on a nymph and another angler took 14 on fry imitations.

One angler landed a fish of 9lb, one of over 7lb, one of 6lb and one of 5.5lb in a nine-fish haul, all taken on small buzzers.

POOLE HALL FISHERIES

Good weights have been recorded throughout the week on all coarse waters, one angler landing 22lb of mixed fish on the moat, the best a 13.75lb common carp, using maggot and cat meat bait.

The next contest will be on Lyttelton waters, pegs 26-59, on Sunday. The draw will be at Stoney Bottom access at 8.30am and the contest is subject to river conditions.

This year's fur and feather will be on November 19 and the entrance price will include a meal for all those taking part.

The event will be fished on the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal at Wolverley, bridges 20-22.

There will be a contest on Sunday on BAA waters, bridges 11-13. The draw is at 8am at bridge 13.

The semi-finals of both singles and doubles knockouts will be fished on this contest.
