I AM amazed at how long it takes to get a very dangerous hole attended to on a busy road.
Near to Sion Hill Middle School there is a metal water cover and three sides which surround it are coming away - probably to a depth of around five inches.
Should a cycle or motorcycle hit this in the hours of darkness, it would throw the rider off.
I personally have reported this, in the first instance, to Wyre Forest District Council (three times), then to Severn Trent, then to a local councillor.
Severn Trent did come out and mark the spot, but still nothing was done.
So, Severn Trent received another call and two weeks later an employee came out and agreed that it was in need of urgent repair.
Two weeks later, the hole surrounding had got a lot larger.
So at the end of the day I have now contacted Ofwat. Hopefully that will get things moving.
If this is modern progress I am amazed. Are the authorities waiting for a serious accident to happen before anything is done?
It has been three months since it was first reported.
