Elmley Castle U-10 1,

Littleton Juniors 2

IT took a wonder strike from Matt Smith to separate these two teams and Elmley will count themselves unlucky not to have got something from this game.

The first half was an end to end battle with both keepers seeing a lot of the action but few chances created.

The second period continued as the first and Elmley were finally rewarded when Josh Taylor fired them in front past a helpless Sam Bastow.

Taylor was unlucky not to increase the lead when his shot hit the crossbar and Littleton started to come more into the game.

With 15 minutes remaining a Ben Johns shot struck an Elmley post with the keeper well beaten but the same player then produced another shot which the keeper failed to handle and Ryan Clarke slammed the ball into the back of the net for the equaliser.

With time running out, the ball fell to Smith on the halfway line and his shot flew into the net like a bullet to give Littleton the points.

Drakes Broughton U-13 0,

Vale Youth 7

POOR finishing from the home side left Vale two goals to the good at the interval.

Worcester St Johns 0

A SECOND half reduced to just 20 minutes because of the weather was the only thing to halt Norton's goalscoring exploits.
