Malvern Radar 0, Bishampton 4

BISHAMPTON returned to the venue of their only victory this season and, despite atrocious conditions, came away with a comfortable win.

The rain turned the pitch into a glue pot but the visitors were the more interested and served notice as early as the fifth minute when Greg Mason had the ball in the net only for it to be disallowed for an earlier offside.

The warning was not heeded by Radar and, after good work by Andrew Murphy, Mason scored from close range after only seven minutes.

It wasn't until the 41st minute that they created the next chance. Simon Maddocks won the ball in midfield and sent Murphy clear but a covering defender did enough to make Mason shoot over.

Just before half time Bishampton did go 2-0 up. A good run into the penalty box by Paul Hayden to see his shot deflected as the ball slowly went goalwards but Mason was on hand to finish it off.

The second half was completely controlled by the visitors and it was a surprise it took them so long to go further ahead.

The goal came from an unusual source. Goalkeeper Rob Bille sent a long kick down field which bounced over the outstretched arms of the keeper and into the net.

Malvern had now lost interest in the game and continued to bemoan the conditions.

Bishampton finished the scoring seven minutes from time when Mark Onens harassed a defender and keeper before shooting in from 12 yards for his first goal for the club.
