POLICE have offered a £15,000 reward in the hunt to catch a man believed to be responsible for 14 armed robberies, including one in Kidderminster.

The man, aged between 50 and 60, struck at the town's Yorkshire Bank and police believe he has also been behind raids at 13 other banks in the Cheshire and Derbyshire areas.

He has targeted Yorkshire Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland branches in particular, including one in Bromsgrove.

And a £15,000 reward was offered for information leading to the man's conviction by Cheshire CID during a television appeal on Tuesday.

PC Andy Millership, of Kidderminster Police, said: "It looks pretty certain the Kidderminster robber is the same man wanted up north.

"We need him caught before this reign of robberies continues."

The white man has regularly been wearing a green peaked cap when he has struck at the banks.

He struck at Kidderminster's Yorkshire Bank at 11.40am on Monday, October 16. After stealing a 'substantial' sum of money he calmly walked away to mingle with town centre shoppers.
