IN response to the recent article on the loss of Pershore's dentist, I would like to know how Wychavon District Council planning committee came to the conclusion that a dental surgery in Whitcroft Road would cause 'unacceptable traffic problems', when they, the county council, and the town council continuously allow Whitcroft Road, Cherry Orchard and Appletree Road to be used by traffic as a cut through - despite the fact that these roads are designated 'Access and Service Vehicles Only'.
If the planners really want to do something about 'unacceptable traffic problems' then they should concentrate on stopping this rat-run and maybe create the space for a much needed facility.
GORDON V DREW, Cherry Orchard, Pershore.
