KIDDERMINSTER professional Terry Murphy is targeting success on his own county patch in the Benson and Hedges Snooker Championship.
Murphy, 28, heads to Willie Thorne's, Malvern, for the £5,000 competition which starts on Saturday and earns entry to the 2001 B & H Masters.
He reached the last eight in 1999, losing to Gary Ponting, but has confidence on his side after making the quarter-final of the Grand Prix last month. Bewdley's Richard King will also be there.
Murphy admitted: "I feel my best is good enough to get me into the top 16 but I don't often prove it."
