BUSINESS-builders can now benefit from Worcester's new Enterprise Centre launched to help them set up new companies.

The complex of small workspace units has been opened in the old Victorian factory on Shrub Hill's Industrial Estate to offer new business starters premises at reduced rents.

The site, owned by commercial estate managers Redman Heenan Properties, is to be promoted by Worcester City Council and the Chamber of Commerce Business Link division.

"Building a new business is not an easy task," said Alan Williams, director of estate management at Redman Heenan.

"As well as finding a winning idea, new starters have to think about hiring premises, paying professional fees and covering the bills that may arrive before they have started trading.

"The special easy-in, easy-out tenancy terms we offer means new businesses do not have to worry about lengthy and complicated tenancy agreements," he added.

Robert Rowden, leader of Worcester City Council, welcomed the project.

"It will help new businesses not only survive but grow and create more jobs," he added.

"Schemes like this can give businesses the support and flexibility they need to help them get established and build a thriving local enterprise."
