MR George Bolton, Royal Enfield distributor, of Adelaide, Australia, who is an expert amateur cinematographer, gave a first-class film show in colour to employees and friends at the Enfield canteen, Redditch, last Wednesday.

Throughout the performance, Mr Bolton gave a running commentary while his daughter, Marie, ably assisted him with suitable background music on the gramophone.

The programme provided an intimate picture of life aboard ships on the long voyage from Down Under, with glimpses of interesting places in Australia en route and locally in this country.

Half way through the show there was an interval during which refreshments were served.

At the conclusion of the films, Major FW Smith, managing director of the Enfield Company, thanked Mr Bolton and his daughter for an excellent evening's entertainment.

Redditch Chamber of Trade is trying to attract new members to help ends meet.

An appeal has been launched to existing members, asking them to introduce two new firms each, to increase representation in the town and boost revenue.

Membership of the organisation is open to professional people and retailers.

The chamber is also especially looking for new members from outlying shopping areas such as the new town.
