AN interesting and humorous entertainment entitled "The Fun of the Fair" was given in National Schools House, Alvechurch, on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings by the children attending the above school.
Children's entertainments are always popular in the village and this was no exception for despite the unfavourable weather, there was a full house each evening.
The efficient manner in which the entertainment was given reflects great credit not only upon the teachers but upon the scholars also and an enormous amount of time and labour must have been spent before attaining such a high standard of efficiency.
The entertainment consisted of songs, dialogues, menagerie, wax works etc, a very bright and cheerful evening being spent.
