ANIMAL-LOVERS in Bromsgrove are being urged to keep their pets indoors around Bonfire Night.
The manager at the Blue Cross Animal Adoption Centre, in Catshill, Neil Edwards, said it was a distressing time for animals.
He has also warned people to be on the lookout for hedgehogs lurking under bonfires.
Neil said: "It's not just one night -- celebrations go on for days.
"Make sure cats are kept in at night and hold dogs tightly at all times. If your pet is too distressed, call the vet."
