ALVECHURCH midfielder Christian Townsend limped off as the Church stumbled to a disappointing 2-2 draw with Alveston on Tuesday.
Townsend suffered the recurrence of a long-term injury to his big toe and must be doubtful for the visit of Northfield Town on Saturday (ko 2.45pm).
The visitors took the lead on 20 minutes but Paul Court equalised after a Phil Cotterill run on 40 minutes.
Dean Meyrick raced on to a long clearance before firing home into the far corner in the 55th minute but Alveston levelled 15 minutes from time in sticky conditions.
Former Redditch stopper Matt Pugh returned to the side after missing the weekend cup win over Handrahan Timbers for personal reasons.
