Pershore 1 Redditch 1

Redditch started strongly pushing Pershore back for most of the first half, but could not find a final ball.

Pershore looked disciplined at the back, picking up sloppy passes and capitalising on poor play.

With each poor ball Pershore grew in confidence and started to break down the play and attack.

Redditch panicked as they were on the receiving end of Pershore attacks.

Frustration showed as Steven Cook was sin-binned for taking his aggression out on an opponent putting the visitors on the back foot.

Excellent keeping from Alister Shute kept the score level.

Granville Rose and captain Jason Spyer had to work hard to keep Pershore back.

Five minutes before the break player-manager Rob Allen was robbed and the ball was whipped to the left and fired into the D for Pershore to take the lead.

Redditch again let themselves down with poor passing after the break.

Redditch changed personel in the middle of the park as Alex Robinson was injured trying to fight his way through a packed Pershore defence.

Allen moved into the middle to help out John Kimbles and Rose was pushed up to pack the midfield and contain the play

Redditch held on repelling a number of set peices.

A hearty run by Rose and Allen opened the way with the final ball to Tom Hiles whose shot was blocked illegally for a penalty corner.

Spyer came in as substitute stopper as Robinson was still off the field.

Two efforts were blocked before another penalty corner which saw a Phil Thomas effort thwarted for Spyer to be blocked illegally.

The final whistle went but with the penalty corner set to be the last action of the game the ball was pushed out by Hiles and stopped by Spyer for Rose to finish and earn Redditch a last-gasp point.
