BIRMINGHAM City have been rewarded with a home tie against either Newcastle United or Bradford City in the fourth round of the Worthington Cup.
It follows their tremendous 3-1 win at Tottenham last night when striker Dele Adebola scored two first-half goals.
The striker was left in acres of space at the far post to calmly convert Stan Lazaridis' excellent run and cross, then slack Spurs defending let Adebola double the advantage.
It got even worse for the home side just before the interval when Martin Grainger was allowed to carry the ball for fully 50 yards before setting up Burchill to tap in.
The Tottenham players left the field at the interval to a cacophony of booing from irate fans. Their only consolation was a dubious penalty when Laza-ridis was harshly adjudged to have tripped Stephen Clemence and Darren Anderton scored.
