A NEW class has started at Arrow Vale Sports Centre on Thursday evenings aimed at helping adults defend themselves should they come under attack from assailants on the street.
The lessons, which are part of the British Free-fighting organisation, are for anyone aged over 15.
The self-defence system teaches people how to defend themselves against one or multiple attackers through a range of techniques.
There is a grading system whereby people have goals to reach and work towards receiving a black-belt.
The lessons cost £20 a month and are held from 7.30-9.30pm.
For more details on the classes, call Andy Hopwood on 578243 or visit the British Free-fighting website at www.free-fight.co.uk to find out more about the self-defence system.
