A RECENT increase in the number of thefts from sheds and garages has prompted Redditch police to issue a warning reminding householders to secure their property.
Police advise "common sense" measures such as adequate locks, security marking, and noting serial numbers to make the identification of stolen goods easier.
Redditch police have made recent arrests in connection with a number of offences involving sheds or garages but are asking people to be vigilant.
Sgt Andy Chinn said: "This is an ongoing operation and although arrests have been made, we will continue to target known criminals and we anticipate further arrests as the investigation progresses.
"I would urge anybody with any information about these crimes to contact us on 584888."
