A BRAVE cashier followed security procedure and foiled an attempted robbery at a Redditch petrol station.

The incident happened at about 3.45am on Saturday at Bryant's Petrol Station, Woodrow Drive.

One or more people approached the night cashier and produced what looked like a gun, asking for the contents of the till.

The cashier, a man in his 50s, followed security procedures and the offender or offenders left empty-handed.

One of the men is described as white, aged 18-20, wearing a dark jacket.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or may have seen anything suspicious to call Pc Willis at Redditch police station on 584888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
