REDDITCH recorded a morale-boosting win over lower league Warley at the weekend.

The struggling side ended a run of five straight defeats with a 38-10 friendly win after a change to the advertised fixture.

Skipper Andy Douglas changed things around and is set to experiment again on Saturday when his charges visit Evesham in a friendly (ko 2.30pm).

Everyone was fired up and it was a big boost with some productive rugby played, he said.

We've got to stick together as a unit and try and get a setlled 20 or 22 to get some league points on the board.

Fly half Gareth Davies came on for ten minutes after being rested with an ankle problem and is set to be on the bench again at the weekend.

Number eight Marc Rose played for the seconds against Old Saltleians after a broken knuckle and scrum half Simon Foremen returned for one of the reserve sides.

Second row Wil Thompson played after a groin injury but Douglas is a fortnight away from a return with a calf injury.

Douglas is close to signing a new prop for the club.
