I AM confused. We seem to have lost Astwood Bank and New End!
Let me explain. When I travel up Edgioake Lane and reach the 30mph limit, I am met with a splendid notice telling me that I am entering Cookhill.
I then turn left into Evesham Road and shortly am informed that I am welcomed to Redditch. Some two miles further on I enter Crabbs Cross. Shame about Astwood Bank!
Similarly, when I travel up the Droitwich Road, as I approach the Nevill Arms, I am informed by the splendid new board that I am entering Cookhill. Shame about New End!
I just wonder whether Cookhill Parish Council and Redditch Council have privately decided on a take-over of Astwood Bank and New End and share out the territories.
Just a final thought. I always understood that Cookhill was considered Warwickshire. It can't be that Warwickshire...no, that could never happen - could it?
