WITH reference to E Smith's comments on my letter (Advertiser, October 25): The Terry Field sale took place over a quarter of a century ago, well before I came to live in Redditch.
It was sold legally and used correctly and the proceeds spent in the correct manner. All the relevant facts in my letter were correct.
I have attended many meetings and read many letters on the subject and listened to councillors being insulted by people who, as we now discover, were misled about the sale of the land.
I attend neighbourhood group meetings because I want to see progress made on the development of Redditch and, in particular, Abbey Ward.
We'll not move forward as a town by ranting and raving and hurling insults over things that should have been confined to history years ago.
