WITH regard to Alvechurch parish poll, it is disreputable that our council tax money is being used to set up an office in Brussels.
We were not informed that our council tax was being used for this purpose and I feel very angry about my money being wasted in this way.
I am also angry about Tony Blair going to France in December to sign away even more of our rights.
When we try to exercise our rights, every obstacle is put in our way.
At a cost of 50p per household, the parishioners of Alvechurch could have expressed their will on whether they wished to keep the pound.
I call that democracy, yet others call it mischief-making.
The Treasury has acknowledged that EC membership costs the UK £1million gross per hour.
We pay in this parish - parish tax, district tax and county tax. It all goes into one pot. So it is our concern.
Of course it's political. Tell me what isn't.
