TWO sisters have called on help from a ghostbuster to investigate what they believe is paranormal activity in their High Street shop.

Rachel and Sarah Burgess, of the Ickle Gift Shop, claim they have experienced spooky goings on in their rented 15th century building.

Strange readings fly out of their credit card machine, letters have disappeared and been found hidden under the till and a door leading to the disused upper floor opened of its own accord until a padlock was fitted.

Thirty-year-old Sarah, of Ombersley Street West, said: "We began to notice weird events when the shop opened in September.

"It gets very chilly in here and heating is needed all the time.

"I'm not scared but sometimes I get the feeling I'm being watched which is a bit spooky."

The sisters have sought help from Anne Bradford who has written six books about hauntings.

Anne, of Redditch, believes the sisters may have a genuine case and said it's possible the girls have a poltergeist.

She said: "In cases like this we need to lay the spirit to rest.

"I've contacted a Society of Psychic Research member and we are currently arranging a visit from a medium in the very near future."

Anne added: "This is only a mild case and I think if Sarah and Rachel maintain a sense of humour they will cope very well."

Rachel, aged 28, said: "We don't feel a sinister presence but there is definitely something strange going on.

"I'm looking forward to meeting the spiritualist."
