FIREFIGHTERS from Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire joined forces to tackle a blaze at Sims Metals, Long Marston, this morning (Tuesday).
Nine crews from Pebworth, Stratford, Bidford, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Evesham and Malvern received the call at 6.15am and spent two and a half hours battling to bring the blaze under control.
The fire ripped through the scrap metal yard which houses old railway carriages and other scrap. Firefighters were still there damping down at 9am today.
