Tiverton Town (2) 3

Redditch United (1) 5

A DAZZLING four-goal salvo in the second half ensured Redditch United bagged all three points against determined Devonshire side Tiverton.

Reds' match preparation was hampered by a motorway hold-up, which saw them arrive just 10 minutes before the kick-off.

It seemed to affect Redditch as they were caught cold, falling behind to Scott Rogers effort after five minutes.

The Reds, who have been at their best away from home, took control of the game but allowed the home side to double their lead in the 38th minute, leading scorer Kevin Nancekiville tucking home his ninth of the season from Dominic Richardson's pinpoint cross.

Redditch got back into the game just before the break when James Cope lobbed keeper Paul Edwards.

Reds appeared with three strikers after half time, James Burke coming on for Mark Smith, and the extra striker paid dividends as the visitors scored four goals in 22 minutes.

Jamie Hart bagged the first, capitalising on a defensive error to bring the sides level on 52 minutes.

Just three minutes later Reds took the lead, Micky Williams lashing home following a neat one-two to score on his debut.

Nicky Cross netted his fourth of the season with a powerful 20-yard drive after dispossessing Peter Conning.

Substitute Peter Sutton headed his first of the campaign, after being on the pitch just 20 seconds, to give the Reds a three-goal cushion on 75 minutes.

Tiverton grabbed their third on 84 minutes, Tatterton firing in from 20 yards.

Weston-S-Mare (1) 2 Redditch United (0) 1

Redditch were unlucky not to come away from high-flying Weston with at least a point after giving an impressive performance.

As it was, a late Nicky Cross goal wasn't enough to stop Reds from slipping to just their second away defeat of the season.

Although the visitors were under constant pressure in the early stages, they looked dangerous on the break and forced a string of corners.

Redditch keeper Dave Adey was far the busier early on and he made splendid saves to deny Danny Gibbons, Justin Pritchard and Lee Rogers, twice.

He was finally beaten on 30 minutes when Mark Price robbed Neil Manton and fed Pritchard who scored from 10 yards.

Adey was in action again moments into the second half, getting down well to Price's strong header, but another defensive blunder, this time by Mark Dearlove, allowed Rogers to score from eight yards.

Redditch raised their game in the last 15 minutes, and Dearlove fired just wide from another corner and then Hart was off target with a neat header.

Weston keeper Dave Mogg, did well to stop Mark Smith's low shot before Cross burst through and scored five minutes from the end.

Redditch: Adey, Smith, Randall (Burke), Manton, Dearlove, Mulders, Field, Nicholls, Cross, Hart, Cope.
