AFTER singing Jerusalem, the meeting was saddened to learn of the death of our treasurer's husband, John Davis. Our sincere condolences were expressed.
We have received a letter of thanks from the village hall committee for the £50 we sent. Jacqui Tolley gave her report of the TGM in London. Our speaker failed to show, so we were entertained by Hester Rae, reminiscing about her nursing career at the Cottage Hospital, in Bromsgrove.
The competition was an arrangement of flowers in a glass and the winner was Betty Gibbs. The raffle winners were Jacqui Tolley and Mary Blake, the prizes were to have been the flower arrangements done by our speaker.
