OUR speaker at the June meeting was Julia Scott, of The Walled Garden, in Worcester, who specialises in growing and selling herbs.
Her fascinating talk outlined the different properties and characteristics of the herbs which she grows, many of which can be used medicinally. She also explained how the purchase and development of the garden had come about.
The society meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Friends Meeting House, Sandhills Road, from 8pm. The next meeting will be in September.
