THREE Year 10 boys from Arrow Vale Community High School and Specialist Sports College have been signed up for the 2000/2001 season by Birmingham City's Football Academy.
The lads, all Blues fans, were part of the School's very successful County Cup winning Year 9 team last year.
Peter Till, aged 15, is a striker, Paul O'Brien, 14, a midfielder and Simon Fitter, 14, a defender. They will play up to 30 competitive games over the course of the season.
Simon has been a member of the Academy for six years and Paul for one, but for Peter this is a new experience. He said: "Scouts came to watch me a few times playing for Shenley Radford and then I had to take part in a trial match with lots of others.
"It was very exciting to be picked, especially as a couple of days later I was included in a four-day tour to Keele near Stoke."
Simon has started well, kicking off his scoring tally for Blues.
