A CAR dealer had an arresting experience when four scantily-clad policewomen demanded a ride in his own car.

Simon Rayner had no time to take down the particulars of the babes in blue when they stormed his house, handcuffed him and took his keys.

However, the boss of SJ Rayner Cars, Kidderminster, forced a smile as it was all done to raise money for charity.

The four "bobbies" were one of 227 teams taking part in radio station Heart FM's Run for Home charity event.

The fancy-dress funsters had to find their way from mid-Wales to Birmingham without any money.

More than £100,000 was raised from the event on Sunday to help babies, toddlers and mothers-to-be in the West Midlands.

A still-smiling Mr Rayner said: "I couldn't believe it when the four 'policewomen' turned up.

"My colleague had picked them up in Tenbury and dropped them off at my place.

"I wasn't going to argue with them and made sure they got to Birmingham. I never thought I'd see the day when I would be happily handcuffed and taken away!"
