BEWDLEY ran out 3-0 winners when they met Brintons for first time in two years.

The first half of their Banks's League Division One South fixture saw chances for both sides, with Matt Grey going close for Brintons and Grant Gibbs for Bewdley.

But Bewdley took control in the second half, with Gibbs scoring two and Matthew Allsopp the other.

Bewdley are at home to Chaddesley on Saturday, players to meet at 1.45pm.

CHADDESLEY CORBETT gave a poor display against Pershore Town and were beaten 1-0 by their hosts in a Banks's Brewery League Division One South.

Chaddesley's cause was not helped by the late arrival of three players, who were all promptly dropped, and an unbalanced team took the field.

There was little action in the first half until shortly before half-time when Andy Baylis had a shot cleared off the line, followed by a second which Chaddesley players thought was handled, but no penalty was given.

Against the run of play Pershore scored through Dean Jones.

Throughout the second half Chaddesley pushed hard for the equaliser, had a penalty saved, a goal disallowed and then hit the woodwork.

Ashley Phillips was unlucky when his shot hit the underside of the crossbar, appeared to bounce over the goal-line and bounced up again, hitting the net - the referee was unsighted and waved play on.

Chaddesley players should meet at Bewdley's ground by 2pm for Saturday's local derby.
