MOTHER-of-three Jenny Pooler has been sent to prison for eight months by Kidderminster magistrates after 30 conviction for stealing from shops.
She had been addicted to drugs for six years and needed help to beat the habit, her solicitor, Paul Hitchcock, told the court.
Pooler, 25, of Upton Road, Broadwaters, admitted stealing clothing worth £140 from Marks and Spencer and TJ Hughes, and failing to answer bail. She had been stopped in the street on a day in June and stolen property was found, said prosecutor Liz Tweed.
Pooler had 29 previous convictions for shop thefts and had been spending £20 a day on heroin.
She had been on a deferred sentence for earlier thefts at the time of the most recent offences, said magistrates' chairman Susan Thompson.
