Worcester and District Football League Division One

Fox and Goose (2) 8 Portobello (3) 3

FOX and Goose were stunned by three Portobello goals in the opening stages.

Defensive lapses let in Portobello striker Lee King, who blasted in two goals in the first 15 minutes. Mark King extended their lead with a shot from close range.

The Droitwich outfit were by no means out of the contest and Kenny Storey, who was a constant threat up front, bagged two goals to take the home side in 3-2 down at half time..

In the second half the Fox and Goose were quickly level with a Terry Clarke special.

It was an Andy Docherty pass which set up Storey, who coolly completed his hat trick in the 59th minute. Five minutes later, substitute Kriss Deakin ended a personal goal drought with a neatly taken goal to consolidate the home side's advantage.

Storey (75th minute) and Deakin (80th minute) added to their tallies as the Fox and Goose ran riot.

The 86th minute final goal was a personal triumph for Storey, who netted his fifth goal of the game, and his sixth league goal of the season.
