BROMSGROVE and Droitwich Spa children will learn more about consumer issues with the aid of a new CD-ROM called Watchdogs.

The software, designed by three sixth formers from Prince Henry High School, Evesham, will help young children understand choices for buying safe goods and services.

"It is a challenging, fun way for younger children to learn and fits well into the National Curriculum," said Liz Tucker, portfolio holder for Worcestershire County Council's cultural and community department.

The Office of Fair Trading's Director General, John Bridgeman, will launch the CD-ROM at an event hosted at Worcester Rugby Club tomorrow.

There will be a demonstration of the CD, which is based on a virtual town, and includes 60 interactive games.

It will be held at 11am at the Sixways Stadium, in Worcester.
