ANGRY Belbroughton villagers protesting against plans to build a house in the middle of a conservation area will be voting with their shoes on Thursday when councillors look set to visit the site.
Last month more than 100 residents gathered to protest about the scheme to build a three-bedroomed house in the garden of a home in High Street.
At the same time members of Bromsgrove District Council's planning and highways committee were set for a site visit.
Families wanted to highlight their concerns which include fears about traffic chaos and the plan ruining the village's appearance.
No-one from the council showed up because of an administration error.
A site visit has now been re-scheduled for tomorrow and residents, who do not want to intimidate councillors, have decided to limit their numbers to 15 but will lay out around 200 pairs of shoes to represent the huge opposition to the scheme.
Protester Sarah Bradley told the Advertiser/Messenger: "We do not want to put the councillors off like last time.
"We do not want to intimidate them because we want to make sure the visit goes ahead.
"We want them to see site for themselves.
"We think it will spoil the village and we hope they will refuse the proposal."
The scheme, submitted by Hagley-based Hawkstone Properties, is due to be discussed by members of the planning committee on Monday.
