IN response to George Cowley's letter (You Say, August 15) concerning his questioning the existence of a devil, you can rest assured - there is a devil plus all his cohorts.
Jesus not only cast demons out of people but was tempted by the Devil during his fast in the wilderness.
As to the failing churches, the church attendance survey published recently showed that the failing churches mainly seemed to be in the groups where there is a predominant wilful rejection of scripture.
The churches experiencing growth are the ones that hold fast to the truth.
