THE Palace Theatre will be packing two musical genres into its programme this week with The Impostors' Ultimate 60s Show and Mid Wales Opera's presentation of Madame Butterfly.

Playing music from the best loved era of popular music, The Impostors' material ranges from Cliff Richard and the Shadows to The Rolling Stones, The Dave Clark Five and Bob Dylan.

Music by The Monkees, Searchers, Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel and the Beatles is also included in the show, which takes place tomorrow.

Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, being staged on Tuesday, tells the tragic tale of the gentle geisha girl prepared to sacrifice everything for the love of a dashing American naval officer.

The opera highlights the clash between Eastern and Western cultures outlined when Pinkerton returns to Nagasaki to take his son away from the mother who loves them both.

Tickets for The Impostors cost £11 and £10 (with Reddicard), while tickets for Madame Butterfly are £15, £14 (discount rate) and £13.50 (with Reddicard) from the box office on 65203. Both performances start at 7.30pm.

The Palace is also promoting a special party rate where for every 10 tickets bought, the 11th is free.
