AN adventurous teenager is planning an intrepid trip to Central America and wants support from charitable Droitwich Spa residents.
Kate Raine, of Broughton Green, must raise £3,500 to fund a five-month expedition to Belize.
The 18-year-old, who completed her A-levels this summer, will carry out conservation work and teach in a school. The trip has been organised by Trek Force.
Kate, who attended South Bromsgrove High School, will also receive Spanish lessons.
She said: "There are many projects for students who take a year out before university and I thought this sounded like the most adventurous. I am planning to hold a raffle and a quiz night to boost my funds."
Kate jets off to Belize in February 2001.
