MARGARET Thatcher not only took milk from school children during her reign, she also robbed pensioners by changing the link between pensions and earnings to pensions rising in line with inflation. So, over the years, pensions have been reduced dramatically.
Pensioners in the rest of Europe are far better served. They don't have to bother with social security because their pensions are adequate.
Most people did think New Labour would change Thatcher's policies, but unfortunately they have not..
Now they are in power, in their arrogance, they see fit to carry on quite a number of Tory policies. This is not going unnoticed among the public. Mike Foster take note.
