STAFF and pupils at Stratford High School said goodbye to two hard working and long-serving governors as they stood down last week.
Jeneffer Gregg and Michael Gledson retired last Thursday after spending five years in the hotseat on the school's board of governors, including a year as chairman for Mrs Gregg.
The two enjoyed a farewell in the new learning resource centre at the school, which was created over the summer to cope with an increase in the number of pupils. The new centre, which was created from the old library and IT room and a new snack bar built in a temporary building, cost £100,000.
Teacher and school press officer Maggie Phalp said: "Both governors have made a tremendous contribution to our school."
