IT ill-befits Councillor David Barlow to pass his high-and-mighty comments about the cancelling of the Millennium Quayside scheme (Evening News, Sept 1).
He evidently feels that the spending of £500,000, which the scheme would have cost, is better than the £50,000 which the cancellation would cost.
He talks about "financial incompetence", and then conveniently forgets that he and his friends have landed us all with a bill for millions of pounds on the ill-chosen site of park-and-ride on Droitwich Road.
He and friends have lumbered us all with an increased council tax for years to come.
Talk about sour grapes from a poor loser.
G HUTCHINSON,
Worcester.
