I WAS pleased to read the letter from Mr Ian Morris (Malvern Gazette & Ledbury Reporter, August 25), in which he points out some of the disadvantages of this country being in the European Union.
It is widely feared that at the meeting to be held in Nice, France, in December this year, Tony Blair will sign a treaty locking us even further into a European superstate, and giving away our right to remain a self-governing country.
A national petition is being prepared for handing in to 10 Downing Street on November 11, in protest at such action. I am collecting signatures for this petition. If anyone would like to join in this protest, and may be collect signatures from like-minded friends and neighbours, I shall be happy to let them have a form.
