A BROMSGROVE airbrush artist has set up teaching classes for people who want to learn more about his techniques.

Fred Crellin, runs ArtImagination from a studio at his home in Crossley Walk, Charford.

The business was set up in 1996 with money from a charitable trust and until now Fred has been commissioned to airbrush artwork on vehicles such as vans and motorcycles.

His biggest claim to fame was spraying clouds onto a car given away in a promotion by singer Paul Weller.

Fred has now expanded his business to include classes for residents keen to learn about airbrushing.

The single 31-year-old has a degree in industrial design and is a qualified teacher.

His new classes are under way and range from beginners to advanced.

Prices begin at £45 for half-day sessions in a fully equipped studio with four workstations, extraction units and sinks.

Students and OAPs get a 20 per cent discount.

Fred believes he may be the first airbrush teacher in the country.

He said: "Airbrushing was very big in the 1960s and 70s but never really caught on in Europe.

"To learn you do not have to be good at art. People with no artistic ability can produce very good designs."

He added: "I've wanted to teach for a long time and I'm really looking forward to sharing my experience."
