J A Daniels chooses to try and discredit my account of appalling poverty I once encountered in premises in Lich Street. (You Say, August 10).
He may be assured that the facts were exactly as related. They referred to one particular dwelling and no other.
There was no suggestion that they were representative of the neighbourhood as a whole, nor was there any attempt to attribute responsibility or blame.
There can be no basis for Mr Daniel's suggestion that appropriate reports may not have been made at the time.
