A POLICE search was launched at 8.30pm on Wednesday, August 24, after a man was seen 50ft down from the top of Tank Quarry.
The fire brigade and a police helicopter searched the area for two hours but failed to find any trace the man.
A police spokesman said it is probable that he climbed out before they arrived.
