THE sad reality of life is that everything withers in the bud, including ourselves. As the rather gloomy Victorian hymn puts it "death and decay, in all around I see".
All we can do is trust that Christ really did rise from the dead and that we will one day do the same - and in the meantime, try to hang on to our sense of humour.
