I WAS interested to read Mr Beldam's article on August 10 defending the growing of GM crops.
A trial is an experiment to discover the outcome: the growers, and Mr Meacher, assure us there is no harm to humans, or animals, since these crops are burnt in approved incinerators.
Not very reassuring, since these are only trials!
What happens if they have a long-term devastating effect on the bees, and insects which pollinate our crops?
It will be too late to discover the trials were a dreadful mistake and will these growers still defend their actions?
