I WOULD like to thank the many people who phoned and wrote supporting my letter to The Journal (July 13).
One lady sadly missed the point of my letter. If she would like to re-read the contents it was not a criticism of the river carnival, which was a delight to myself and many others. I was merely speaking out in defence of the riverside creatures and people's nervous pets - loud explosions.
