DROITWICH Rugby Club will be throwing open its doors on Sunday for the annual signing on day of the mini and junior sections.

Players from U7s to U17s are welcome to come to the club on Sunday from 10am to register for the start of the new season.

An U15s girls' tag rugby team has been introduced this year.

On the day there will be a barbecue, competitions and a demonstration of the RFU's proficiency awards which the club encourages children to work towards.

Chairman of the mini and junior sections Jerry O'Brien said: "We are looking forward to the start of the new season and hope the signing on day will give new and returning players and their families a chance to get a flavour of the activities the club is involved in.

"Last season, the mini and junior section invested a record amount of time and money in training its coaches.

"We are confident this will enable us to help youngsters to maximise their skills and enjoyment of the game."

New players of any age are invited to come and see what the club has to offer.

Children who will be aged eight by Friday would be especially welcome.
