VINTAGE vehicle enthusiasts can treat themselves to an ideal day out and do their bit for charity at an annual event in Wolverley.
And Wolverley Vintage Rally organiser Phil Stanford is aiming to attract at least 1,000 people to the seventh staging of the Drakelow Lane extravaganza.
Mr Stanford hopes the spectacle on Sunday, August 13, which has drawn as many as 700 people previously, could raise as much as £500 to be shared between church and Scout groups in the village.
Old cars, lorries and motorbikes will be on display and there will also be live demonstrations of vintage army vehicles and tanks.
Mr Stanford said: "It really is a great day and people come from all over the Midlands to see what's on show.
"Obviously I am hoping for good weather as it always helps things to go with a swing, but whatever happens, I will enjoy seeing the regulars who come each year."
For further details about the event, which begins at 10am, contact Mr Stanford on 01562 850393.
