A CHARITY for the blind is calling on volunteers to help out during an up-coming pub crawl around Worcester.
The city-based Worcester-shire Association for the Blind (WAB) is arranging the charity event, which will include a collection of money during the night for its younger members.
Holly Magill from the WAB said it is in need of sighted guides to assist the visually impaired people getting around the pubs.
She said: "Most younger, visually impaired people are keen to get out and about and socialise like anyone with full sight, but an unfamiliar and often dimly lit pub does present quite daunting challenges, unexpected steps, knee-height tables, locating the bar."
The charity pub crawl is due to take place on Thursday, August 4. Anyone wishing to volunteer should call WAB on 01905 723245.
